Melts can be a great way to make your bathroom smell fresh and create a soothing atmosphere for your shower! Today, we’ll be giving you some quick-and-easy instructions for making some shower melts for yourself using all-natural essential oils! Soon enough, you’ll have your bathroom smelling fresh, and a calm aura!
What You Need:
Yields: Around ½ dozen cubes (6 cubes).
Instructions:
Step 1: Add the cornstarch to the mixing bowl, along with 3-4 drops of lavender and 3-4 drops of lemon essential oil (or 6 of one if you only choose to use one oil). Begin mixing with the spoon until the oils are fully absorbed and the starch is getting chunky.
Step 2: Add the two tablespoons of water in small intervals. This part is important because you’ll want to mix the water in evenly. Gently stir with the spoon while you’re adding the water and stir until fully mixed.
Step 3: Add the now paste-like mixture into the ice tray, filling up the spots for the cubes, and smoothing out the tops. Put the ice tray in the freezer for about an hour to allow the mixture to set.
Step 4: Place on the floor of your shower near the drain before turning on the water. After the water has completely melted the cube, be careful of a slippery floor (just in case) and take your shower like you normally would!
Voila! You’ve got an awesome new way to keep your bathroom smelling fresh, while also finding a new way to relax and calm down after a long day! Enjoy!
